With the society being founded in 1986, and the track opening in 1992, there were over 26,000 man hours of labour by a group of dedicated individuals. These people gave up birthdays, weddings and some would say their sanity, to reach a common goal, to bring the hobby of model engineering to the Hawkes Bay.
