Shanghai's Maglev (magnetic levitation) train, is the world's fastest, most futuristic passenger line. This train has no wings, but no wheels or engine, either.

Eurostar set a new Paris to London rail speed record of just over two hours with the first train to use Britain's long-awaited high speed track at over 299 kph. The journey time was 2 hours, 3 minutes and 39 seconds, compared with the usual 2 hours 35 minutes.

Registration

Visiting drivers and club members can download and print the Registration Form (MS Word format) and post to The President, Havelock North Live Steamers and Associates Inc (Keirunga Park Railway), PO Box 8205, Havelock North. This helps with catering and provision of services during long weekends.

Visiting Driver Guidelines

There are a few simple rules for drivers to help with train and passenger safety. Download and print the Visiting Driver Guidelines (MS Word format) for Keirunga Park Railway and familiarise yourself with them before arriving at the track.

Drivers Licences will be required to be shown by all drivers prior to carrying fare paying passengers. Don't forget your Boiler Certificate.
