Shanghai's Maglev (magnetic levitation) train, is the world's fastest, most futuristic passenger line. This train has no wings, but no wheels or engine, either.


Eurostar set a new Paris to London rail speed record of just over two hours with the first train to use Britain's long-awaited high speed track at over 299 kph. The journey time was 2 hours, 3 minutes and 39 seconds, compared with the usual 2 hours 35 minutes.

As of 19 March 2020, Keirunga Park Railway is closed to the public because of the COVID-19 outbreak until further notice. We apologise for any inconvenience, but the health of our volunteer members and our public is paramount. We will make announcements when the club reopens for public operations. Stay safe everyone!

Board Meetings, 9.30 am at the track

All financial members of the club are entitled to attend Board Meetings under the terms of the society's constitution, Section 9, subsection 4.

Track Maintenance Days

Held on the Saturday before Running Days. All welcome, and there is always plenty to do. See club notices for details during closure.
